Resilient Routing
“Do you ever get annoyed by Web sites that
fail to reply? The problem is often caused by a breakdown in the Net
between your computer and the address you are trying to access. We have
developed a technology for redirecting traffic that neatly eliminates
this problem.”
Professor Dr. Olav Lysne The technology is based on pre-defining diversions which can be instantly applied when a Net node breaks down. Despite the remarkable complexity of the Internet, only a very small number of diversions are needed – no matter what nodes stop working. This makes the technology in question very attractive in practice, resulting in not only a more stable Internet, but also the possibility for major savings for Internet Service Providers. The method has now reached the patenting stage, and we are negotiating with a central international player with regard to introducing the technology to the market.
