Computations linked to the electrical activity of the heart constitute one of the largest areas of research at the Simula Centre. Simulations of this kind demand a great deal of computing power and involve complicated mathematical methods. Through this research, the Simula Centre has joined the international academic elite in this field, but there are still significant research issues that must be solved before the first commercial products can be developed. Simula Innovation has prepared a contribution strategy for private donors to accelerate this research.
