Simula director becomes Head of Finance in Oslo City Government
Kristin Vinje, director of research education at Simula, was Tuesday 29 September appointed Head of Finance of the executive branch of Oslo City Government.

– This is a wonderful opportunity for me! As head of finance in Oslo I will have a unique opportunity to influence the development of the capital. This was very sudden, and it is sad to leave Simula, but this was a possibility I simply couldn’t say no to, says Kristin Vinje about the appointment.
Vinje has leave of absence from her position as leader of Simula School of Research and Innovation as she now assumes her new responsibilities as Oslo’s Head of Finance. Vinje came to Simula in 2005 as assistant director with responsibility for the administration. Later she started working on establishing the Simula School of Research and Innovation, which she has headed since 2007.
– Kristin has done an excellent job at Simula, and I wish her all the best with her new challenges, says Aslak Tveito, managing director of Simula Research Laboratory. He emphasizes that Vinje is a strong leader, and he thinks she will make her mark on the capital city.
