I am working for Kalkulo where I develop Graphical User Interface solutions (C++) for applications using Qt and Open Scene Graph (OSG). Since I arrived I have mainly worked on the StatoilHydro-project 4DLM. In this project we develop an interactive application to visualize geological data.

My education:

During my education I worked in the field of networks and distributed systems.

- In my PhD research I investigated new classes of applications like interactive massively multiplayer games, and multimedia services that place new demands on the network infrastructure. The main expertize from the PhD is to integrate and combine mechanisms to get more scalable, less resource demanding, high performance systems for time-dependent large-scale distributed multimedia systems.

- In my Master's research I investigated Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks. Specifically, I focused on network layer Quality of Service issues in connection with routing protocols. I developed and implemented a routing protocol for Wireless Mobile Ad-hoc Networks that is Quality of Service aware.

My theses:

Bachelor's thesis (2001): "Distributed System for Live Updated Weather Maps on the Internet"
- Developed and implemented a web-based distributed system for live updated weather maps based on continuously collecting weather data from weather stations.

Master's thesis (2004): "Quality of Service Aware Source Initiated Ad-hoc Routing”
- Developed and implemented a Quality of Service Aware Source Initiated Ad-hoc Routing  Protocol (see publications).

Doctoral thesis (2008): "Group Communication Techniques in Overlay Networks"
- Developed and implemented a wide range of group communication techniques and algorithms  designed for achieving live interaction across the Internet (see publications).
