Target audience: Master/PhD students and computational scientists who want to learn the Python programming language and use it in research.
This 1-day course will be roughly divided into four modules:
Gentle introduction to Python
Common Python programming tasks
Numerical computing using Python
Mixed-language programming
The lectures will be given in English by experienced researchers from Simula. The lecture slides will be distributed on site.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops, so that Python software can be installed and tested by hands-on exercises!
