Laplacian surface editing of blood vessels
This project aims at extending the Vascular Modeling Toolkit with Laplacian surface editing
We would like to extended the Vascular Modeling Toolkit with Laplacian surface editing such that one can perform parametric variations of the circle of Willis. The geometry of the blood vessels will be represented by a triangular mesh where each triangle vertex is encoded relative to its neighborhood by means of Laplacian coordinates. This is an elegant and convenient geometric representation which make surface editing relatively simple. Our aim is to study the differences in the hemodynamic forces caused by the geometric variations. However, the actual blood flow simulations will not be focused in this project.
