Educational partnerships

Simula has institutional partnerships with educational institutions, both in Norway and abroad. Several of these partnerships have solidified into joint research centres and PhD-training programs, while others focus on continuing education and outreach projects. These partnerships are listed below.

Joint research centers


Simula Metropolitan Center for Digital Engineering (SimulaMet) is a collaborative research center jointly owned by Simula and Oslo Metropolitan University. SimulaMet conducts research and educates Masters students and PhD candidates in digital engineering. (More information)


Simula UiB is a collaborative research center jointly owned by Simula and the University of Bergen. Simula UiB conducts research and educates Masters students and PhD candidates in cybersecurity. (More information)


Simula@BI is a collaboration between Simula and BI that focuses on applied and fundamental research in data science, with focus on applications in the intersection between business and data science. Simula@BI educates Masters students.

Joint research & PhD training program


SUURPh
is a collaborative reesarch and PhD training program involving Simula, the University of Oslo (UiO), and the University of California San Diego (UCSD). In addition to training cohorts of 8-10 PhD students, all of whom spend a significant portion of their research time at UCSD, SUURPh also organises an annual summer school in computational physiology (SSCP).
