Design, Development, and Testing of Autonomous Rovers at Simula
This project involves developing new methods to design, develop, and test Autonomous Rovers, similar to those used on Mars.
Master
Several topics are available under this topic focusing on:
- Requirements engineering for Rovers.
- Modeling and Simulation of Rovers.
- Testing and verification of Rovers.
The topic will be built on the open-source version of Rovers software. The physical rovers will be available at Simula for this purpose.
All these topics will involve applying a varying degree of machine learning techniques (e.g., deep neural networks and reinforcement learning), and search algorithms (e.g., Genetic Algorithms).
Goal
The goal is to develop and implement new methods for Rover.
Learning outcome
Learning to work with autonomous rovers and build skills in applied AI techniques.
Qualifications
Programming skills in any language
