Simula researchers receive international award

The prestigious ”Wilkinson Prize for Numerical Software” is awarded to the Simula research scientists Marie Rognes and Simon Funke, together with their collaborators in the UK, for the development of software that solves one of the great open challenges of scientific computing.

The prize is awarded once every four years, and it is presented to the authors of an outstanding piece of numerical software. Marie Rognes is the department head of Biomedical Computing at Simula Research Laboratory, and she is highly appreciative of the distinction.

"We are proud and honoured to receive this renowned award. It is an international recognition of our work, and the result of directed research efforts within the Center of Biomedical Computing over many years," Rognes says.
