Success for former scholarship winner!

In 2017 Spacemaker was one of two start-up companies that won Simula’s entrepreneurial scholarship. The board of experts concluded that Spacemaker stood out in terms of innovativeness, as well as having the potential to contribute significantly to societal value creation on a national or international scale.

Spacemaker develops AI software to provide architects with suggestions on how to build better houses and cities, with more light and space and less noise.

This week the company raised NOK 215 million in capital from the European venture capital company Northzone as well as Skype founder Niklas Zennström’s investment company Atomico.

“AI can solve societal problems and create value. Spacemaker demonstrated already in 2017 that they had an approach to technology and users that were unique. We are proud of the progress they have done and extend our congratulations,” says Director of Innovation, Christian Bjerke.
