A study on using AI to generate a web-based tool for better benefit/cost management in development initiatives
You will use Claude Code (or similar) to design, develop, deploy and run a web-based tool for managing benefit/cost estimates and progress in development initiatives.
In the current turbulent landscape it is essential to keep track of the important and instrumental goals that development inititatives shoud fulfil. This is espescially important in the current urge, also stated in policy and strategy documents, for using AI without a clear understanding of what one wants to achieve by using AI.
We are developing a conceptual framework for Adaptive Benefits Management which can help stakeholders in having clearer goal statements, better awarenes of when goals should change, and a more deliberate approach to goals and benefit/cost management in daily development work. Having an easy-to-use tool with clear-cut concepts and work flows is essential.
The project should use AI to design, develop, deploy and run the tool in an environemnt that allows IT professionals to experience and validate the tool easily. State-of-practice software engineering methodology should be used to guide and document the AI-driven stages of design, development, deployment and production.
Goal
The goal is to study how to use AI to develop an important piece of functionality (a tool) for better benefit/cost management of (AI-driven) development projects.
Learning outcome
You will learn how to use AI to develop software and learn about benefit/cost management frameworks.

- You must be an above-average programmer for your age and education level, with full-stack knowledge.
- You should also be self-driven and inquisitive, with an urge to overcome obstacles and spend time investigating different solutions to a problem.
