A Rising Star at SimulaMet/Simula

Senior Research Scientist Michael Riegler was recently selected as one of four Rising Stars/Leaders in the multimedia research community.
In October the ACM MultiMedia Conference 2018 was held in Seoul. The conference is considered the premier conference for multimedia experts and practitioners across academia and industry.Senior Research Scientist Michael Riegler was honoured at the conference and gave a predictive talk about future research directions in the intersection of computer science and medicine: “BioMedia: The Important Role of Multimedia Research for Healthcare”.
Unrelated to the star-selection, he also gave a tutorial, "Importance of Medical Multimedia”. Thus, it seems like Michael is taking a lead and is in the forefront of the research area.
