
Simula researchers selected to join the Research Council's portfolio management

The recent announcement of the Research Council of Norway’s new portfolio management includes the appointment of Simula researchers Joakim Sundnes and Marie Rognes. We congratulate them on these important roles in bringing their expertise to the areas of health and groundbreaking research.
The appointment process involved an open call for proposals, attracting over a thousand submissions, with a total of over 800 unique names.
On December 7th the new members were announced. Among these are Chief Research Scientist Joakim Sundnes, Director of SRL Research, and Chief Research Scientist Marie Rognes. Sundnes will be a part of the portfolio for health and Rognes will be a part of the portfolio for groundbreaking research (FRIPRO), commencing their roles on January 1st, 2024.
Together with the other portfolio members, they will contribute with their knowledge in the fields through advice on professional, thematic, and structural development and future investment needed.
