About Simula Learning / SSRI
Educational opportunities at Simula were previously organized within the Simula School of Research and Innovation (SSRI; from 2007 to 2021). In January 2022, the group-level training activities were separated into a new unit (Simula Academy), and SSRI was rebranded as Simula Learning in order to focus on helping teachers develop skills in programing (KodeSkolen), as well as other companies to develop digital skills in cybersecurity, coding literacy and machine learning.
Simula Learning has been closed (2023)
In late 2022, the board of directors for Simula Research Laboratory decided to close Simula Learning. The processing of closing and liquidating Simula Learning took place in early 2023.
Simula Learning was a company owned by Simula Research Laboratory (91%) and Bærum municipality (9%), and was located in downtown Oslo (Tullinløkka). Marianne Aasen was director of Simula Learning (and previously of SSRI) from 2017-2022.
