Apache Hadoop is a popular framework for big data analysis. It has a large number of contributors working on large code base-and this naturally implies a certain number of bugs. As part of the SSBSE 2014 Challenge, this paper presents the results of applying the EVOSUITE automated unit test generation tool on a part of Hadoop. We compared the generated tests to those provided by the developers, and found that generated tests are superior in terms of coverage.
