Evaporation from a pool of liquid sarin in a ventilation shaft has been calculated. Turbulent flow of air through the ventilation shaft is simulated with the large eddy simulation model, and the evaporation process simulated by passive transport of vapour by the airflow, and with the volume-of-fluid model.
