Why write tests if one can generate them? This is the promise of searchbased testing, generating and evolving inputs that systematically explore program behavior. The approach can be easily adapted to various kinds of inputs as well as testing goals - whether it is maximizing coverage, locating defects, or reproducing failures in the field.
